Dear all

I have a datawarehouse on SQL Server 2005. On of the source systems runs
Navision with a SQL Server 2005, that gets upgraded to SQL Server 2008. A
SSIS 2005 package gets access to the source system over a sql server view and
functions on the SQL Server 2008.

The switch from 2005 to 2008 on the source machine - I do not expect any
problems - but of course are not sure - so therefore I decided to ask the
forum here.

Thanks in advance for your answer,

Marc

Hi Marc,
SSIS 2008 Integration Services is compatible with SSIS 2005. If the switch
from SQL Server 2005 to 2008 on the source machine does not cause any
schema changes and connection change, your SSIS package should also work
fine. Anyway I recommend that you perform a test first before you put it
into production.

Best regards,
